Two small kids, a boy and a girl, meet under a cherry tree by fate, and since that day become inseparable. However, life suddenly forces them to part ways, before they can grow up together. Will fate, after many years of living separate, bring them together, under the cherry tree, once more?

A short film based on the directors experience as an immigrant, leaving his homecountry of Bulgaria at age of 5 to live with his parents in The Netherlands.
Nominated for screening at 11 filmvestivals world wide since march 2024.
Premiered first in India, at the 14th Saheb Dada Phalke International Film Festival
The technique used, is called hand-drawn rotoscopy, where real actors were first filmed doing the raw performances on a stage, and later re-drawn by hand.
More than 13 artists worked on induvidual shots of this film, spread acoss 11 countries including, The Netherlands, Bulgaria, Australia, America, Hungary, Ierland, England and many more. Artist had to be induvidually trained, via complicated non-existing long video tutorials as working from a on-site location for this budget was impossible.
The innitial budget of 500 euro, sponsored from the Dutch filmacademy to make the first proof of concept in 2008, grew to a near 10K budget by 2024, to complete this complete 9 minute version with music, vfx, and distribution costs. A few special people actually donated a substantial amount of money to raise budget for this small but important production, which are named in the films end credits as special thank you.
