Thank you both! I was on a bus with my kid, I think it was the 146? I pointed out a few buildings but I didn't recall the Carbon & Carbide building. It's got presence even from a bus! I kept poking my son, pointing to make sure he saw it before we rode past it. So, thanks for this video on it and the Chicago Democrat! (And yeah, I'm ok with pitter patter rain, not the downpours we've been getting. It's like, damn!

Never been in the Carbide & Carbon Building but have passed by it many a time and it never fails to impress. Will have to check out the Newberry Library, never been there. I don't mind rain if its quick or comes and goes. Not a fan of it raining all day.
