Ducky needs a little kids pool or just a tub for now. We had a pet duck and it would rub against people like a dog. The duck loved water changes in the pool and would get so excited and splash Like crazy. Ducks are awesome pets

Hi Murray’s! I love your chickens but isn’t that coup way too small for the amount of chickens you have? 😀

How many chickens does the chicken tractor hold? It doesn’t seem to hold as many as you have? You’re gonna need to build another one! 😄

We set our chick's out in dog crates on the ground like that to get used to grass but we also zip tie hardwire clothes a few inches high around bottom so they can't escape

Will you build another coop or more of the chickens shaws? How many is that recommended for?

When our baby chickens get that big we also put them together. At first I was scared I have to admit. Lol 😂

Are you guys going to build A bigger Chickashaw for the baby chics? The one you have seems almost too small for the bigger hens and rooster.
@ericaharris54232 жыл бұрын
Just a little advice from a fellow chicken and duck owner. Technically you should have about 3 square feet of chicken coop per chicken. The duck needs a water source to where it can stick it’s bill in the water. We have lost so many hens to hawks and raccoons!!! It’s so frustrating. Good luck to you all! Lol

I noticed many people mentioning the coop being too small. I don’t know anything about chickens but maybe that’s part of the issue?
@stephaniemckee-akafarmgirl2 жыл бұрын
A raccoon can easily get into the latches…I have them do it before. You need latches that you can stick a pin through that locks in place. I’ve actually had raccoons also dig through 3/4” plywood that we had shingled to get to our show bantams. Never underestimate a raccoon.

Have you thought about getting lighting for the back? Looks pretty dark walking back to the house. Love the chicks and chickens and Peter. How cute are they?!

Cats can hide good. I’d go out at dusk , using a flashlight. Maybe you could see the eyes reflecting? Walk around at dusk calling her name. Maybe she will give you a meow.

Maybe put extra fencing around the baby chicks Cage so they can’t escape anymore
@debbieshulman37112 жыл бұрын
I know it’s been said but there are a lot of homesteader videos and you will need a much bigger coop and run. I see Becky at Acre Homestead feed her chickens lots of fruits and veggies that they can’t eat She also had a watering and food system that could last a week for her 12 or 13 chicks

Hopefully not too many roosters😊.

Any animal can get an outside cat, unfortunately. We live very rural but are cats have always been indoors. Barn cats grow up knowing at dusk they're being locked in for the night, crazy that they gave learned this, but they have.

You should check out the KZbin channel white house on the hill. They have lots of different birds. It's a really good channel.

I’m sorry but letting your kids run around with bare feet in chicken poop grass & then walk into the house is gross 🤢🤮

Agreed. Which is why have them wash their feet off outside.
