But give him the best offensive mind in NFL, a year to sit behind a probowl QB to learn, a dynamic TE that makes plays on 3rd down or in the red zone, the most explosive, fastest WR in the nfl to constantly take the top off the defense thus allowing for underneath slants or screens to constantly allow 3rd string WRs like Robinson to turn 4 yard dinks and dunks into 10+ yards after the catch first downs, and a consistently above average offensive line that gets the job done and look what happens for a QB. I grew up a die hard Falcons fan, and my brother grew up a die hard Chiefs fan. I can remember telling him that Mahomes would be the piece to turn the Chiefs into a powerhouse. The pieces were all there, just needed that special qb to get them over the hump. Texas Tech Red Raiders have never benefited from a defense whatsoever. Mahomes' losses were the result of shootouts like losing 42-49 along those lines.
