Amen!! His words are so dense -- in a good way. Every word and sentence delivers such meaning and insight. There is both enlightenment and challenge in this and Elder Maxwell's other messages. Thank you.

What a great speaker. Every time I hear him he covers so many pieces and parts of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is great. He is no doubt a true apostle of the Lord!

This Apostle speaks about our Lord Jesus as if he knows Him personally. Our Prophets and Apostles are indeed special witnesses of our beloved Lord and Savior.

Wow, absolutely love the clarity and focus of the significance of Jesus literally being the Messiah, the Only Begotten Son of God and the ONLY means whereby we - you and I- may be saved, by believing in HIM!!!!!!!!!!!! Jesus is indeed more than any man, never a better hero song by Kenneth Cope rings true as do these poignant doctrines taught by one who deeply loves, worships, and testified until the end of his mortal life, the Apostle Neal A. Maxwell!!!!!!! Beautiful truths and reasons to study the great book of Mosiah!!!!!!!!! Always new that King Benjamin’s address spoke volumes to my own personal understanding of, appreciation for, and desire to be more of a service leader as Christ was to bless my own life, my family’s lives, and strengthen faith in Christ in a world that needs HIM, His light, truth, way, and power to overcome all things only on and through Christ!!!!!! May each of us seek to strengthen our faith in Christ and seek first His righteousness: to be like Him for when He comes again to rule forever!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are generous, loving and kind to those who gave The Words of Our Lord thumbs down. My instincts tell me to look them in the eye and demand that they depart hence. They have rejected My Savior and His Apostles and I now reject them.

You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?” Matt. 5:43- ...

What scriptures we can hold in a quad, will need a little red wagon to pull behind us for in the future. I hope to explore what we have now so I'll be ready for those days in the future.

What we have now would overflow a little red wagon but since it’s all neatly packed in a mobile phone we may never fill the little red wagon’s capacity!

Compared to him, our knowledge of the Gospel, understanding of The Lord, his principles and his teachings, and our “living” the Gospel, is only in diapers. Certainly, we have a tough road ahead and little time to accomplish it. And everyone who thinks of himself to be in a safe place, better re-examine his position.

I have always had a real problem with Mosiah 3:19 where it says"willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him" because to me, inflict always inferred intentional pain or harm, torture if you will. But Elder Holland said in a talk that it also means that God did not cause the suffering, but allow it to happen for our betterment. That has made all the difference in how I see that scripture now. Also D&C 121:43 always bothered me because of the use of the word sharpness, which I thought of as unnecessary critical. But in German they use the word clarity instead of sharpness which makes a world of difference in how this scripture can be read. Bring things into sharp focus.

How about God allows these afflictions to happen to us so we can grow learn obedience from these afflictions. This was true of Joseph Smith and Job and ultimately Jesus Christ. When I was in Basic Training I hated every thing that I was ordered to do. But I earned to accept what life caused. me to suffer. But It was through that suffering I learned to act as God would have me act and become more like the man God wants me to be.

"Inflict" sounds to me like a necessary thing that He doesn't enjoy your sorrow but is exceedingly glad for your growth which brings you closer toward Him and our Father in Heaven 🥰
