If it works as in the 1st Frostpunk, all is not lost, though: You can still turn those kids into valuable fertilizer. "Rien ne se perd, rien ne se crée, tout se transforme." ("Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed") - Antoine Lavoisier (In fact he never said this, but expressed a similar idea. He was not talking about dead kids, tho).
