Eternal light for Martin. Thanks for incredible music.

Martin Phillipps is on par with songwriters like Lennon/ McCartney or Brian Wilson or Syd Barrett. He wrote some of the purest, shimmering pop songs ever, with always that beautiful New Zealand landscape sound (I have no idea how to explain it but if you know, you know). What a great great musician.

Brilliant to see Martin better and they're sounding great. I'm an Englishman who quite by accident saw The Straitjacket Fits in a pub in Dunedin in 1987 and was totally blown away....got into the Flying Nun/NZ scene - saw most of the bands later on in London. Hoping The Chills will come back to Melbourne soon.

I’m from The Netherlands, and i felt completely in love with this band somewhere 4 years ago. I got through a bad time (deep depression) and they kept me mostly through it. The Chills, far from the west, where kiwi’s grow, good wine, space & time. A peacefull place down under. ❤️ The Chills so much! PS: I struggle with alcohol addiction, ..so it was weird/comforting seeing the docu. I feel much symphaty for Martin. He feels as a good friend.
