The fact that Jesse didn't immediately agree that The Eagles are among the dad-est of Dad Bands is baffling to me. Their music is synonymous with Dad Rock to me.

That dream reminds me, at least at the end, of the Myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Orpheus loses his lover, Eurydice, and ventures into the underworld to rescue her. He plays a song for Hades and Hades makes a deal that Orpheus can lead Eurydice out of the underworld but if he looks back at her before they've gotten out, Eurydice will be lost forever. They travel to the surface and Eurydice's voice grows fainter and fainter until Orpheus can hardly hear her. Orpheus exits the underworld and finally looks back at his love, but she's inside the cave. Eurydice is pulled back down into the underworld forever. The infinite rooms with people roaming them reminds me of the story "The Library of Babel" by Jorge Luis Borges. The universe is a giant Library of hexagons where every book that could ever and will ever be written sits on the shelves. People are born and live there entire life there, roaming the halls of gibberish books. That basement I think holds a secret or at least symbolizes a secret. It's something dangerous, which would be why those SWAT guys are going down there. Something important to the female that you want to learn but are afraid to find out. You tried to help her find herself but you lost her in the endless labyrinth. I don't know, just one interpretation.

Any "viewer" related content is untrustworthy. Asa quick example, in another "viewer story" from about a year ago a viewer talked about a vanished woman from Australia that was supposedly kidnapped by aliens and pretended to had personally known the woman. In fact it was basically the viewer stealing the story of "The Watervale Runner", that was featured on a "paranormal activity" channel called Bedtime Stories a year before, and inserting themselves into it. A story that funnily enough had already been debunked in the comments of the original video.

I use to keep a dream journal because I use to have these elaborate dreams that I thought would make fun stories or movies, especially the nightmares. Since I now take sleep meds to regulate my sleep, narcolepsy man, I don't really dream or at least remember them. The only recurring dreams I would have were when I was little but that's because of childhood trauma more or less, not something wild like what Jesse has. Copying my interpretation of Jesse's dream from when he mentioned it during Cox & Crendor, because I'm lazy: I think the judgement about Jesse's dreams being about his problems with women is spot on. He dreams about his "wife" operating on him because he's afraid a woman in his life would want to change him and not accept him how he is. Then there is a clearly perceived barrier between him and women both with the secrets she keeps from him that he can never quite reach and her outrage over something Jesse can't clearly understand. It makes perfect sense for him to shoot monsters with a gun but there's a clear misunderstanding between the two, which is something he clearly fears. But the fact this all happened in a scenario he realizes, even in his dreams, is entirely constructed means he doesn't quite believe this is reality. This might be the reason behind the Widowmaker figure, which is a fictional portrayal of a woman (with a nice ass).
@bagrym3 жыл бұрын
i think the shooting the monster part is a bit different. i think it has to do with a gaming component as a part of his job with which jesse thinks women might have a problem

The "House of Many Rooms" story sounds like he was thinking of the bible verse: "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" (John 14:2). Particularly relevant since he said his father had died. Jesse's dream sounds like he just wants to play video games with his catgirl girlfriend.
@williammccallum47603 жыл бұрын
Spoiler: ALRIGHT, so listen Mathas continually talks about how aliens will replace the trauma of being abducted, and experimented on, with a false memory or vision that makes the truth more bearable for a mind. Jessie has had this dream "A hundred times". Its always a variation of the same thing. I posit, that the beginning of dream, when he is being operated on; he may actually be, being operated on. His guts/his legs/ his eyes. Presumably alien medical technology should be able to detach and reattach his legs without his knowledge. Maybe that's why he doesn't remember the entirety of the dream. Because the beginning is the only part that actually happened. The rest is merely a buffer to protect his mind. Just a fun theory. TL;DR: In spite of being a non believer in abduction; Jessie is the only one who has actually been abducted, or something like that. Again, just a theory/interpretation of his dream.
