They should of used the mod "Rim Along" (I believe thats what its called) it makes a true multiplayer rimworld where 2 players can control 1 colony.

If you're being a horrible person anyways a better way to deal with a good but drug addicted colonist is to install and then uninstall peg legs on both their legs. This gives them zero movespeed so they won't break and cause problems while they work off the addiction. Not sure if this method leaves you with their old legs in storage though, might have to give them back peg legs if you don't have extra legs or bionics.

Bug men are the worst , in a colony of mine there numbers grew faster then my colonist eventually we shelled um and they attacked the base and killed everyone
