its not only pitou, meruem fought netero using nen fundamentals just like an enhancer, but according to togashi meruem is a specialist type, in other words, meruem beat netero using his nen the absolute worst way he could (as enhancer on the oposite side of specialist). the ants are way too op. after he got nuked he finally used his nen the correct way (his specialist power was getting the nen powers of people or at least ants he ate, as he ate both pouf and youpi and got their powers)

The funny thing about Kite is that he actively gaslights his own nen ability. It may look like it gives a random weapon but the consciousness of the ability is what gives Kite what he gets and by gaslighting it into thinking every option is bad it aims to prove him otherwise by picking the exact weapon he needs for the situation. @@weirdchamp4601 Yup. The whole reason why he made his weapon choice up to the consciousness of the ability was so that it could act as a condition to increase the power of all the weapons he has. Since if the choice isn't up to him then it's a downside but he knew he'd be able to gaslight his nen ability so he did it. Free power up. It's also why Ging wasn't concerned with Kite's death, since if he was in an altercation where he would die then his nen ability would always land on weapon number 3 and save his life. Every time without fail just to prove to Kite that he doesn't give bad rolls.

I have to say, while their characterisation was done really well, I didn't feel bad for Meruem's guards dying. I hated them enough to be happy they died. I was almost in shambles when Komugi died, though, because she deserved better. By proxy, I felt _slightly_ bad for Meruem when he died, and apparently he might not have remained a threat with Komugi to rein him in. I also was really glad to see Colt, Reina, Kite 2.0, and Bloster surviving. Btw Gon is a professional crashout, he sacrificed his entire youth and adulthood just to stomp out Pitou.
