These are all ex-officials who held very high level govt positions in their lives but I can't understand how they all consistently misread China all these time. Why did they allow China to establish such dominant trade relations with India? Why did they allow to make successive Indian govts to make treaties which were always so favorable to China? Indian - Chinese trade coupling and hollowing out of Indian manufacturing happened under these men's watch and they did nothing to stop it. Sad!

@Rohan Krishna Duh! This is called common sense and I will try to make it simpler for you: If I know that my neighbor (read China) is not a good person who tried to harm me and my family (Read India) before (substitute 1962, 67, 86) then I do not socially hang out (read, no Bonhomme) with him or buy my grocery from his shop (read trade). MOST IMPORTANTLY, I would not allow my malevolent neighbor (again, read China) to dump his cheap junk (read mass produced low quality low value industrial stuff) to by backyard (read, market). I bet you that all these guys in their real personal life, would follow the prudent way that I mentioned above. Yet, when the Indian nation vested them power, they did follow a policy that harmed India and Indians.

We have lots of people who seems to be knowledgeable about China , but we consistently failed to understand China since Nehru time. India even did not condemned that brutal clampdown on peaceful protest.

I believe that we have intelligent diplomats but unfortunately, they consume too much western propaganda, and clearly don't understand the Chinese position. And also in the last 70 years, we have produced a west-mimicking society that does not feel proud of Indian civilization but feels cozy with our former colonizers like the UK and western civilization.

Ask question to people who know what they talk about not people who are clearly against China.

@@ThePrintIndia Hey so you guys read the comments. Iam from France🇫🇷! Can you guys tell me why you are so anti China? You seem to be very educated and watch news around so you can definitely see that China never trash India on the international news. They are not steering stories to create problems. So please I would love to hear about that, why this none stop hatred towards China and this victim attitude? Like I said I am a French citizen but I've travel to China and to India many times.

India parrot the mantra of Tianmen square while forgetting their own mishaps in Emergency, operation Bluestar and subsequent Sikh massacre and a lot of numbers of massacre against Kashmiri civilians by Indian armed forces. Not to forget their own high school failed PM who was once a persona non grata in The UN due to Gujarat violence. Hypocrisy is the only thing keeping the Indian nation state alive.

So what do u want. There should not be any discussion on any thing of international political significance in India because we have some local issues. Remember there are debates on our internal political discourse also. Please refer them. And by the way it was a good discussion, just go through it.....

@@30853avinash These are not the issues that India wants to discuss because it has empathy for Chinese people. They just want to sabotage Chinese nation state. Nations don't discuss every "international issues" on same level. They focus on those issues the most that help to view animosiously the opposing party more by their own population and their ally population.
