We don't need to repent of our sins to be saved. Salvation is a ONE-TIME EVENT. You cannot keep being saved and unsaved repeatedly. Jn 3:16 Acts 16:30-31 (what must I do to be SAVED?) I'm very tired. It is a struggle every day for me to just get up. The Lord has put people in my life to catch me right when I'm about to give up. I'd say more but the gestapo is always watching. It would be nice to have an outlet to truly open up without fear of some kind of reprisal.

I know how you feel. I attend a weekly treatment group for mental health, but they are in such close communication with law enforcement (they're always typing or writing when we talk) that we have to keep a guard over our tongue. My closest friends are Jehovah Jireh & my journal. In the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer: "When all is said and done, the life of faith is nothing if not an unending struggle of the spirit with every available weapon against the flesh."

There is a difference between water baptism and baptism with the Holy Spirit. Matthew 3:11, 1Corinthians 12:13, Titus 3:5. Water baptism signifies our identification with Christ's death, burial and resurrection after we get saved by only grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9. The baptism that saves is by the Holy Spirit. 1Corinthians 12:13, Titus 3:5.

You are deceived. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are all 3 persons. Not a people, they are spirit. But as spirits they are persons. We were made in God’s image. God is a person as spirit. We are persons as humans. Jesus himself is spirit and was human. Fully man and fully God. Change your perception to see us as human persons and God as spirit persons.

I like how you had to preface Romans 9 and provide a framework so anything you encountered in Romans 9 would have to be explained by your provided framework (superficial). Here's a better layout... At the end of Romans 8 we are given a promise that nothing can stand against God's elect. That seems to be rather unhelpful since what it meant to be "elect" was to be elect in Abraham... thus the connection to the beginning of Chapter 9. Paul laments that his kinsmen have rejected Christ when they had every advantage to the contrary. Jesus should have been a natural and convincing argument for them... but they rejected them. Thus God's promise to Abraham seems in jeopardy from Genesis 12 and Romans 8. Who can bring a charge against God's elect? Ummm, just about anybody... So why has God not lied given Jewish rejection of the Messiah? What principle can we see that would explain why they do not have faith? Does them not having faith explain why they don't have faith? No! The non-calvinist who levels that explanation becomes circular. Your explanation must solve the problem of non-faith not reassert it, as we see in this sermon. Paul explains that the reason for Jewish rejection cannot ever defeat God's purpose because Jewish election has never been on the grounds of men accepting or rejecting the Lord. As we see in Genesis 12, God did not wait for Abraham's faith to choose him... he just chooses him and promises awesome things will happen for him! God's very call created jewishness not faith, contra what this pastor assumes. Furthermore, we see that God's purpose has been to call not based on anything good or bad on the account of man is in view but, "in order that God's purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls..." The same call he issued to Abraham... God's purpose must stand and he's not waiting on our response before he enacts the call. But then we have an injustice don't we? If Israel's non-faith is not only a non-problem for God but was in fact part of his purpose, then it seems this rejection of Christ should be excused by God. But the molded should not say to the molder "why did you make me thus?" God's decision to save gentiles through jewish rejection was part of God's purpose and this does not excuse the Jews. This has always been what God was doing. This explains why their rejection, far from being a defeater, is well within what God has planned. This actually explains the issue.
