So, for those who didn't get the ending, since Jeremy either didn't say what chat told him or it was cut off from the VOD: The package created as part of the universe rebooting to fix an anomaly is the package that Henry receives the contraband cake in at the start of Escaping the Prison. No one sent it to him, it was created by the universe to facilitate Henry's story. It's a bootstrap paradox, where the items in the cake allow Henry to escape prison (the first of his exploits with multiple endings that are not fails), thereby leading to more chaos, creating the multiversal imbalance that causes the universal reset.

What I'm wondering is, why did they give it to him?

@@scottvgamer1163 I believe it was not an intentionally act by the CCC but rather the universe bootstrap-paradox'ing the series into existence upon the rebooting of the universe.

@@wolv0223 kind of got that, but why would "the universe" want all this chaos to begin?
@wolv02232 жыл бұрын
@@scottvgamer1163 How does a bootstrap begin? A man receives the bootstrap from his future self sending it back. The cycle is an Ouroboros, consuming itself. It has no start or end, it merely is. So too is Henry Stickmin's time. The cake appears because it is an error for it not to be there, corrected by the universe while it reboots. The universe reboots because the CCC was trying to fix the multiversal instability. The multiversal instability comes from the many, many divergent realities centered on the enigma that is Henry Stickmin, some short and others long. The divergences of Henry Stickmin are only so disruptive to the multiverse's stability because his journey did not end with him being caught during the bank robbery. His journey continues because of the cake that appears for him in jail, a point of divergence splitting the timeline. The cake appears because it is an error for it not to be there, corrected by the universe while it reboots. The cycle continues on and on. There is no cause. There is no conclusion. There is merely the cyclical rise of Henry Stickmin, the timeline's fracturing around him, and the reset of the universe, returning to the last stable point. The bootstrap never existed in the first place and will never come to exist. The bootstrap has always existed and will always exist. This is the paradox. The contraband cake is a bootstrap. Henry needs to fix his boots. He's been walking around with boots with no stra- I feel I've lost the metaphor here. Oh well.

I love the continuity of this games. The Dave with the package from the prison ( 5:10 ) gets fired and starts working in the museum ( 38:20 ) where he gets fired and abducted by the Toppats ( 1:14:07 ) and if you don't free him, because it's a different ending, he still remains in the cell until 3:37:00 . At that point he is completely demoralized and just follows Henry (even if he wasn't a Toppat before).

I completed this game recently, and I'll tell ya that watching someone else play it half a dozen times does not prepare you for how quick you have to be to get a lot of the bios and achievements you need to 100% it. It's like playing a version of "Where's Waldo?" where you not only have to find "Waldo", but you then have to click on him before the scene changes and he disappears again. I think I played some levels at least a dozen times between getting all the fails, correct endings, bios and achievements that are only clickable at a precise moment. This game is harder than it looks.

the bunp achievement (i told you about stairs) from stealing the diamond is a reference to "sweet bro and hella jeff", an intentionally awful webcomic made by the artist "andrew hussey" it is most notable due to its connection to his other massive (in scope, popularity, and length(more than 8000 pages many of witch are flash animations, and playable sections that take upwards of an hour to complete) webcomic "homestuck." sweet brow and hella jeff is a comic produced alongside homestuck to give the characters things to meme about in series that won't become dated cause they were made in universe. homestuck is a great comic that i highly recommend, though it is a little hard to get into so i actually recommend starting with its much shorter and (speaking very relatively here) simpler predecessor "problem sleuth." the story of homestuck is complicated and way too much to get into but the simplest synopsis i can come up with is "4 kids play a video game that is way more important than they expected, and elsewhere, a dispute over a dress code leads one man to put the lives of everyone in 2 universes in jeopardy."
