I was deeply moved and just taken away with this interview. The more I watch this man,Jonathan Roumie, the more I just fall in love with him as a person not in a romantic way although he would make any woman proud to be married to him..but as one Christian to another or a followerer of Jesus to another..he seems so humble and compassionate and passionate about doing what God has called him to do. I am also taken away with his facial expressions on the set of the Chosen.He has one of those faces that will make you laugh or cry...I laughed when he smiled at Peter and they exchange those glances of disbelief (like I told you so) at all the fish that was in the net and cried at the scene where he changes the water into wine and he looks at his mom and she mouths the words,thank you...Jonathan's testamony about God blessing him with those checks is so believable..I know because I have been there myself and it's a humbling and life changing experience I will say to have something like that happen in your life...I used to pray and pray for a husband..I'm 57 and still single...but God spoke to someone's heart while praying for me and the Holy Spirit told this person to tell me I was his (God's) bride and when it's time,he will send him to me.

I got The Chosen on DVD here in Australia and was so moved by this amazing series. Jesus has been a precious part of my life since my early teens in the 70s. At 16 I took my dear Grandma to see the movie version of Andrew Lloyd Webbers Jesus Christ Superstar and we both loved it and I had the original record set of the ALW soundtrack recorded in UK, which I still have now on CD. Jonathon is such a wonderful Jesus, he portrays our Lord in a manner that Jesus has always been envisaged by me, I have always felt Jesus as a dear and beloved friend by my side. This is such an amazing interview. It's so funny that he would mention he had been dreaming about being a priest because that's exactly what I've gotten from him. I feel as though that's exactly what he would have been had he been born a decade or so earlier. There was a reason he wasn't born then, and now It isn't just 1 small Roman Catholic parish he's touching. It's people from many different faiths and countries. It's very, very cool .

Great interview! Very interesting to get to know Jonathan Roumie's take on this very awe-inspiring and humbling role. I think that my fave part of the wedding episode was Jesus' words, "I'm ready, Father." It reminded me of the scene in "The Passion of the Christ" just a moment before they start flogging Jesus and He says, "My heart is ready, Father." Have you seen that film?

Ive watched and enjoyed the choosen, its a great SHOW. Now heres the truth. Its not a biblical teaching, its entertainment. If youbare at a place where your still unsure of what the bible says and who jesus truly was, and then you cant understand and separate a T.V. show and your bible, maybe don't watch. Dont learn from the show, dont use it as you would your Bible, and you should be studying your bible and praying to be sure and human can change what ypur faith is based on, i dont have faith in people at ALL, and there are people writing, acting, directing, etc etc. Its a TV and INTERNET SHOW, its not educational, at best its inspiration to study, but i honestly think most the people taking issue here are advanced in study and theur path, and talking is great, but when you keep pointing at stuff and calling it out, again TV SHOW, the more strength you give it. Leave it at dont get your faith from the show, study ypur bible , and pray, keep your faith and truth in one area, and ypur entertainment in another. Christianity always has people with different views banging heads, even when jesus was here his disciplines argued and debated, while jesus had to stop it because their loyalties to perfectly practicing blinded them to what was in front of them. Again, new Christians and people who can be influenced, probably shouldnt watch, but most people arent studying the choosen, were all different. Pray and study, make the best choices for you. Is the show faulty, YES, i seen that in seconds, giving personality to disciplines is taking liberties, many of the cultural and traditional aspects are off, historical facts are off, trust me i know, i have a masters in theology. Again its entertainment, inspiration to read your Bible at best, and if your struggling with that, please build and learn first, leave it be for now. Still, for anyone who is strong in faith and study, who understands its a show and can separate their faith and entertainment, its a good show. Please please, brothers and sisters, we can help, have discussion, learn, without attacks. Christianity is fractured unfortunately, its been plagued by this since day one, argueing over a tv show and human faults is not going to help. Think about it, when kids are in school and do Christmas plays, they are seriously wrong, yet we take no issue, those plays are nore influential then this show, as its a foundation period in life and stays within that child forever. We must start working hard to use what is happening to bring people to christ and stop attacking. Jesus didnt attack anyone, he used each situation, no matter how bad, to teach and save. Right now more people are lufting their bibles or praying because of the show, start grabbing those people, put together study and prayer groups, turn what ypu see as wrong into a way to bring more souls into the fold and keep them there, lets get them educated and praying, dont let the show be their only source of information , and dont attack it either, because when you do, those new Christians or people interested will become confised or offended and then their gone, teach them and let them notice for themselves. They are n9t studying the show, they dont see what you see or understand what you do, use whats wrong to bevome whats right.

That's a lie, Jesus said He does what His Father in heaven says, if you think you can skate around righteousness and just as Mary to tell Jesus to give you something, you're a fool! Jesus said He blesses those who abide in His word and His family are those who does His Father's will. Jesus was the logos from eternity past. Stop making Him out to be 'a mamas boy'. All through the Gospels He never called her mother, only Woman.
