He died for the sins of his Chosen People Israel. Which are so called blacks and indigenous of the earth scattered to the four corners of the earth via the mechanism of slavery as it is written. Deuteronomy 30:1-7 He is not the savior of the Gentiles. He is the destroyer. Jeremiah 4:7 King James Version (KJV) The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way; he is gone forth from his place to make thy land desolate; and thy cities shall be laid waste, without an inhabitant. The only inheritance you have in the kingdom is a slave to those that you have continued to oppress from what your ancestors established for you. Isaiah 14:1-2 King James Version 14 For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob. 2 And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall 👉🏾possess them in the land of the Lord for 👉🏾💥💥💥💥servants and handmaids💥: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.💥👈🏾 Eye for an eye. I think it's beautiful that Gaeius is the one comforting Jesus. His prayer is like the Psalms and you can see Jesus's distress as he's realizing/being reminded of the cup he will be receiving. What my father loves about Gaeius in the Bible is his full hearted faith in Jesus to heal his son. And Gaeius hugging Jesus is like a reminder for Jesus about why he's going through all this suffering. It's not just for the first born nation, but for all of humanity. To save the whole world. The only thing my parents have in common is that they come from Catholic families, but we like to say that without Jesus changing the world we'd still be Gentiles... and that's be such a shame not to have found the Lord Our God.

I love the possible symbolism during the hug at the end of the episode: Roman red of Gaius clothing = stained sinner “White” of Jesus clothing = pure sinless sacrifice Their embrace - as the repentant and converted sinner surrenders and the sinless Son of God is feeling the weight of responsibility of what will soon come to pass - I feel in that moment it is beautifully represented that Gaius’ conversion and belief (enough to heal his son and also to be saved) could be of some small comfort knowing that his (Jesus) work is being received and touching the lives of even the most unlikely of people.

Yes. This ending was so poignant and subtle and Gaius came to thank the Lord at just the right time. Well done ending scene. Couldn't stop the tears, that's how much He loves us.

Very well done, powerful important messages, loved to see Gaius' promotion, relationship with Peter and Matthew, and his conversion, his faith, his son being healed, his smile, and hugging Jesus! Jesus' struggle as a man building up to all that he knows is coming. Jesus' struggle wrecks me.

The way Gaeius holds and hugs Jesus just took my breath away. It made me wish that is was me holding Jesus that way. I can never get enough of these episodes and I wish they would be longer. God bless those all involved in making these episodes.

I've recently returned to church and God and I've been reading the Bible daily. There are many, many things I still don't get and I never understoond what Jesus meant when He asked James and John if they could drink from the same cup as Him until I watched this episode. It finally clicked! I binge watch The Chosen weekly, over and over, again and I still get goose pimples because I KNOW Jesus performed (and continues to perform) miracles. I will forever be grateful. Thank you. God bless you and everybody involved in the creation and making of and the donations to The Chosen. It has contributed tremendously to strengthening my faith. Thank you

When she was gone... I was so heart broken, it was the worst kind of pain, unbearable. One night I broke down and cried out: Lord Jesus!!! I fell asleep... the next day the paint was gone. She was not coming back, but the pain was gone... The Lord heard my cry and healed my pain.

Oh Gaius. The Faith.... "Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed." In another story, when John and James asked Jesus to sit at his left and right.... I remember reading it in the bible, it will be a blast and most disciples becomes angry at them.

I love the foreshadowing, so hard hitting. The 3 rocks hung on the oil press, representing the 3 nails used in the crucifixion and the emptying of himself "Kenosis" it portrays.
@kylemccormack17856 ай бұрын
He was God, but on earth as Christ he emptied himself of certain powers and Godliness, so as to fully embrace human experience. The ultimate expression of his full human status is his suffering on the cross. And although Christ was emptied, "the throne in heaven was not empty", helping early Christians to formulate the concept of The Trinity.

I am really thanking Heavenly Father for directing Dallas and his team for making this show. As Dallas has said on several occasions, this is a TV show, it is not a verse by verse account of what took place in the Gospels. Yet, this TV show is a catalyst that sparks interest in persons who would not normally be interested in the Bible to get a glimpse of the Son of Man. I pray that everyone who looks at the show, whether Christian or not, goes to The Holy Bible and study for themselves, what actually took place. The Chosen as a TV show cannot cover everything. It actually only touches on a few major events of Jesus' ministry and then it covers these events out of sequence and sometimes out of context. At the same time, still doing a good job of telling the story. My wish to everyone is Go Study The Bible for yourself. Blessings.

Thank you Dallas Jenkins for creating the most realistic series that reflects the life and path of Jesus of Nazareth. The olive press and the photography of the drips (to me) foreshadowed Jesus Christ carrying the sins of the world and the cross; and how he will bleed drops of blood (as the drops of oil are falling) from the crown of thorns on his head. The weight of the rocks are the weight of the world hence the weight of the cross. He knows his crucifixion is soon.
