This series has brought the people in the stories of the new testament from just words on a page to being real. People we can relate to, people with personalities, problems, misunderstanding Jesus' meaning of a New Kingdom, seeking self over others, all the things that we as Christians face today. Thank you so very much for showing us the struggle Jesus faced with relating to His humanity and His deity. Seeing the disciples struggling with their faults gives us hope in our daily struggles. I have taught Sunday School for almost 50 years and watching this series has opened my eyes to many Biblical truths that had become just a lesson that I needed to teach. Now I take in the personalities of the people, the towns, and the restrictive rules of the Sanhedrin and Pharisees and helps me do a better job of relating the Bible to others. This is the best Jesus series ever. Thank God for your staff of writers, your faith in telling the story of Jesus, the many people all of you have touched through the Chosen. Thank you and Thank you over and over again.

that's one of the things i love about this series. it really does give you a whole new perspective on things. and when Jesus talks about his frustration with his disciples, i think of myself being the same way. i know his teachings but i keep screwing up. like i'm not learning from them. well, i'm trying harder after watching this show.

Hey jim and juan, Why couldn’t hollywood make something like the chosen in the past? Its a question that has baffled people. Because many people are still hungry for the word of god. there is no shows out there that can uplift your spirit like this one? Like almost close to none. Watching the chosen is a blessing. It’s better than watching most cliche Hollywood films of today. Although there are some good movies/tv shows but are rare. Btw. According to fan rumors. Nicodemus is said to be back in the Chosen season 5 yay good news.

My most anticipated scene in season 5 will be the Last Supper and the washing of the feet of the disciples. He institutes the Eucharist with the consecration of the bread and wine and he establishes the priesthood with the washing of their feet.

The guy playing Jesus agreed with him about starting with salt would somehow be taken in a negative way.. Jesus NEVER spoke in ANY way that would tickle His listeners ears. Jesus spoke as He was instructed by the Father. He was always about the Father's work. Jesus NEVER made a mistake and to portray Him that way makes Him a liar about who He said He is and that portrays Jesus as a sinner. If people KNEW ANYTHING about the REAL JESUS they would realize just How un-Godly the show is. God bless y'all.

@@MMK65-Redfoxif season 6 comes along. How will they do the crucifixion? Will the Chosen’s version be as brutal and dark as passion of the Christ? Or will it be a bit softer like the classic films? maybe somewhere in between the two. Who knows🤷 But the way they described it in the Bible version was wayyy more brutal than even passion of the christ because it says that jesus was totally unrecognizable by his disciples.

This series is outstanding! It is incredible to watch. I have watched all of the Christian movies and this one is absolutely the best! However, I don’t think I can bring myself to watch the crucifixion. I love all the actors! They do such an incredible job. The crucifixion will break my heart I know. I don’t think I can bear it.😢

There are alot of questions about the lives of the apostles that the Bible doesn't specifically answer. The Chosen created a story to try to explain what could have happened. It isn't Bible endorsed but they do try very hard to stick to the Bible. Now we are coming to what I believe is the hardest part about Jesus's life. It took me three times trying before I could finally finish the Passion of Christ. I would get to the part about the whipping and I would have to stop. It was so gorry and brutal. I was so angry at Caifus and Annanias and Pilot. And not just them alone I really wanted to hurt Roman's and Jews. But then after the movie and alot of thought I realized that I to am to blame for Jesus being hung on the cross. To pay the price for my sins. I look at sinning completely different now. I don't want to be responsible for Jesus on the cross but I am. 😢

@thenextseason yeah I wasn't to happy about the crucifixion in Passion of Christ. But honestly it made me think. I don't think they will go quite that far because that would take alot of special effects and that would bump up the cost exponentially. They have a tight budget so I don't believe they will go quite that far. Plus they did this series without Hollywood and that movie industry. They didn't want Hollywood to control this series. They have done quite the remarkable thing without the help of Hollywood and hiring movie stars. They've set a record I do believe in the movie industry for an independent group of people. From my understanding this series is in every nation and in every language across the world. Quite a huge feet if you ask me. I'm sure Dallas' father helped quite alot, but only his influence with people that he knows. I don't know if you know this but Dallas' father was one of the writers for the left behind series. That was quite a big series. They even made some movies about it. But it never got the anywhere near the same responses as the Chosen. I'm sure that Dallas' father is quite proud of his son and what he has accomplished.

The cleansing of the Temple not only angered the Jewish priests but also the Romans. The Temple courtyard was visible from the higher Roman Antonia Fortress located right next to the Temple. The Romans were on the lookout for any trouble or troublemakers during the Passover. Jesus was observed and this was surely reported to Pilate. The Romans now wanted Jesus dead.

I was bummed Dallas didn’t show the interaction between Jesus and Satan in the garden. Seems he is choosing to hold back on things he deems that may be too much. I just hope he doesn’t hold back on making Jesus really beaten and bloody before the cross for the sake of “not offending” viewers.

It doesn’t need to be as gory as The Passion of the Christ. It’s already been done. God darkened the entire earth that day to hide His Son from the mocking staring crowd. At some point it’s just torture porn. It would be more affecting to see what all the other characters are doing as they know Jesus is being abused and killed.

Jesus intentionally provoked the Jews and the Romans into crucifying him. This is disturbing to some as though it might be seen as manipulation of those who might not have otherwise sinned. But Jesus simply used the tools of wickedness that were there. The gospel of John indicates that Satan was given increased power to bring these things about, and this may be why Peter denied him three times.

seems that Dallas has caved to the roman catholic church.....in his portrayal of Mary, Jesus' mother and their relationship (in scripture...Jesus only ever referred to his mother as "woman"...giving her no great status)....in leaving out Jesus' brothers and sisters in the story (yes, Mary had other children).....in portraying that Peter is the "rock" in which He will build His church....and not the confession of who Jesus is. Dallas has forgotten....that if we are acting/working in God's will... GOD will provide all we need to do His work. Dallas has decided to trust and rely on the catholic church's financing and support more than trusting God....by caving to it's doctrine. You Catholics can comment that it's the right interpretation and blast me for being wrong....well and good, that's what your faith believes.....but Dallas isn't catholic....He's evangelical and if he was portraying the life of Jesus and His doctrines according to what he claims to believe is the correct interpretation....he would not give Mary the mother of Jesus any great role/standing because the evangelical belief is that Mary was a sinner in need of redemption just like the rest of us (Mary said so herself in calling Jesus her "Savior" in her song when she met Elizabeth).....he would not have encouraged the catholic belief that Jesus meant that Peter was actually the rock rather than the 'confession'... that Jesus is the Christ...being the "rock"...because that is what the evangelical faith believes. I'm glad that people are finding faith through this work of Dallas'....but be sure to open up your Bibles and READ them ! Because it's in the pages of the Bible which the God of the universe has given us so that we may know HIM....that is where you will find Truth. This program/show can be a stepping stone to finding Him....but don't stop here. Go to His Word
