My biggest question with this case has always been, what did they think was going to happen after they wiped everyone out? They were just going to continue to live there, and no one was going to come looking for all the missing people they killed?
@curtisboyce3849
@curtisboyce3849 3 жыл бұрын
the fact that she confronted her brother about money before killing him and his family leads me to believe that was spontaneous. she most likely had a story planned for her parents missing, like a trip or an accident. the anxiety and probably surrealness of having just murdered your parents combined with the brother dismissing her about the money put her over the edge and got them all killed. long story short, there was probably an alibi for her parents, there was no plan for the others. they likely knew they were pretty fucked after killing the others, also explaining why they didn't bother to move any of the bodies or clean anything up as they had done with the parents. also, bitches b crazy

"What in tarnation happened in Carnation?" Adrian, you certainly know how to start a conversation!!! I discovered your channel probably about a month or two ago and I'm intrigued and delighted by the True Crime information and story lines. I believe you're my favorite storyteller of True Crime. Excellent job by the way in conveying the facts, empathy, outrage, and the abhorrent Behavior of criminals. Keep up the good work. I must say family murders are the most troubling to me. I never understood the mindset of a person that would not just leave their spouse, or just remove themselves from a toxic situation. I would say things like, 'if they were a true friend, they wouldn't do this' or 'how could they do this to their own mother or father?' But as I've gotten older Im realizing more and more the "true" family and friends will do things like this. It's called betrayal and that's one of the worst things anyone could experience.

@Revelwoodie 2 жыл бұрын
Very true. You'll also hear a lot of younger people comment on abusive relationships and domestic violence cases saying things like, "Well, he obviously didn't really love her," or "that's not REAL love..." Horrible people with ugly souls, people who can do violence, these people also fall in love. And when they do, they're just as horrible and violent as they ever were. It may be comforting to say, "Well that's not 'true' love," because that separates it from the love you feel for the people in your life, and turns into something alien. But the sad fact is, love doesn't have to be good to be real. Some love is toxic. Some love sits side by side in the same mind as some pretty dark things.

I always find it terrifying that someone could even contemplate a crime such as this, but it is much scarier when such a person manages to talk someone else into participating. Who wouldn't _immediately_ go to the police, or at very least warn the target(s) when a friend or relative said "hey, I've got this plan."???

I live in Carnation, and remembered when this happened. I was 16 at the time. The Andersons were very well liked around town, and Judy was our local post woman. Saying it was a shock would be an understatement. *Here are some tidbits about the town itself:* -It was originally called "Tolt" before being renamed "Carnation" after the "Carnation Milk Company". -The town was officially established in 1912.
