John West (1809 - 1888) was a Scottish inventor and businessman who emigrated to Canada, California and later Oregon where he operated a cannery and exported tuna to Great Britain. The Pelling Stanley and Company in the UK imported his tuna and paid for the rights to use his name, which led to the establishment of the use of "John West" as a brand name.

Does a mouse have a moustache has been the best christmas present.
@kdpflush2 жыл бұрын
Etymology The word "moustache" is French, and is derived from the Italian moustacio (14th century), dialectal mostaccio (16th century), from Medieval Latin moustaccium (eighth century), Medieval Greek μουστάκιον (moustakion), attested in the ninth century, which ultimately originates as a diminutive of Hellenistic Greek μύσταξ (mustax, mustak-), meaning "upper lip" or "facial hair",[2] probably derived from Hellenistic Greek μύλλον (mullon), "lip".[3][4] An individual wearing a moustache is said to be "moustached" or "moustachioed" (the latter often referring to a particularly large or bushy moustache).

Huge well done to Tim... for using a humane mouse trap. 👏 As an animal lover, I really hate the idea of killing any kind of animals anyway, but when there's humane alternatives I think it's even worse. If the category was “no more people who wear job gloves” I would agree with you. However, as the category was “no more job gloves” this does not rule out the possibility of someone wearing a single jobby-G

It would take a very complicated diagram indeed to explain the UK's measurement systems. Type of unit employed varies by age, location, and mindset of the measurer. Hence the major popularity of Kitchen Conversions - every British schoolchild's favourite game.
