Norm, I've been watching you since the very beginning. You went from vids that had us thinking "How'd he do that" to now showing us the process. Either way, no one can do it quite like you. The building and scene turned out great. Thanks for the step by step video. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Very nice build Norm, the 3D printed down spouts came out great with those scupper boxes at the top!! Maybe you could fit the building in that you had there for a small office and rest room.

I really like seeing your 3d details come to life. Really makes the structure top notch. You should consider adding metal racks for steel bar and tube and L-stock, etc.... Make a rack, with a roof to keep the water off it. Put it on the concrete pad, opposite the side door, along the tracks.

That’s a good idea. It’s one of the details I’ve been wanting to do for all my shops. I have some bar racks in white metal made by a little company called Kramer products on my pegboard.

@normstrains your railroad is amazing. I model in HO, but if I ever considered switching to O, it would be due to your videos. Your weathering is just about perfect. It makes the trains look more realistic than brass that may be 2x more detailed and prototypically scaled.

I enjoy watching your videos very much. I love the work you do. You mentioned about toning down the logo on the building. If you dry brush the original brick color onto the sign it will tone it down and give it a more weathered look.

I’ve done this on some of of my older paper signs. I decided to leave this one alone. Maybe on the next one I’ll try making a ghost sign. Will definitely stick with the decals though, I liked the way they turned out.

There are much better channels already out there for that sort of thing. I do show glimpses of the process in several vids but I have yet to do a standalone one dedicated to my use of them.

Norm - I was curious if you purchased o-scale laser engraved brick sheets for the walls of your larger/taller buildings or do you kit bash brick walls to build them to a desireable height? Thanks for sharing everything you do. Your layout inspired me to jump from HO to O.

I used quite a bit of Plastruct O scale brick sheets in the past. Rough Brick 91606 is their p/n.

You are so good at modeling. An inspiration for sure. How do you use your resin printer safely do you print in the garage? I have heard that resin produces a lot of fumes. Btw if you are looking for a new FPM printer the bambu labs printers are awesome! I have two now :)

Thanks man! I use water washable resin so it’s not too stinky. I also have pretty good ventilation in my basement shop where I do most of my projects.

The Bridgeport and some of the lathe parts were found on Grabcad. The press and other things were my own designs on Tinkercad.

You can use drywall sanding paper for your roof. It even comes in black. No painting required. As always great job.

I'll have to check that out. The bandage tape is kinda expensive. I like to paint my rolled roofing a dark gray then give it a black wash.

St for future reference your 1mm I.d. conduits work out to about a 2in conduit when scaled up yeah a little big but there no way you could find smaller that will allow wire so oh well😂😂😂😂

1mm = 1.89" in O scale. If I could find thinner tube I'd use it. I have successfully soldered 40AWG magnet wire in the past.
