This was DIY lo-fi punk before anyone else was doing it. Armand says he recorded it at a local radio station and it was so small they couldn't fit the drums in, then he got his brother to make the cover art by hand as he worked in graphic design, and he had to glue it all and make all the sleeves, then he just pressed it at a local plant with his own money and released on his own "House of Guitars" label. Ten years before bands like Television Personalities, Half Japanese, Swell Maps, Buzzcocks, Go-Betweens... etc would go on to do the same thing and start the DIY movement.

This would have fit right in during the punk years. Armand was WAY ahead of his time. Find the album "A Lot Of People Would Like To See Armand Schaubroeck...DEAD!" It's well worth the listen.

mentions hippy in 65?
@kelechi_777 ай бұрын
What hippie meant in 65 was different to what it meant in 67 and later on, hippie and hipster was being said by jazz guys in NYC since the late 50s
