THANK U, FINALLY IVE BEEN SEARCHING FoR THIS CUB DEBUT NEWS SINCE HE WAS BORN OR HiS DEBUT DATE!!! In Denver Colorado they also has one single male cub and on his debut day, he WAS ALL OVER THEIR CiTIES NEWS STATIONS!!! I was so excited so happy when I found out on internet news FINALLY they have a lion cub born!!! I had a feeling they might have cubs soon when the new lions arrived, and I was right just five months after their October 2021 arrival a cub was born. But I just wish he had at least one sibling.

These lions need to be free. It only takes 115 days for lions to have babies. The fact that it took 20yrs for the circle of life to occur, sounds more like a broken circle.

not necessarily. It's a good way for them to go extinct. good zoos (Lincoln Park is a very good one) help preserve species from extinction and provide happy, safe lives for the animals.

Freedom doesnt really exist anymore. In the "wild" these animals would be living in national parks and they're monitored closely by rangers because if they weren't a rich dentist would come along and shoot them

Lincoln Park zoo is an excellent zoo they are accredited by the AZA which wouldn't happen if the enclosure were too small. The lion habitat at Lincoln Park zoo is 18,300 ft.². is it what they would have in the wild? No is it more than adequate for them at the zoo? Yes if you're gonna keep arguing, I would love to know what your credentials are, and how they supersede those of the AZA

thats not enough space. they need a minimum of 2-4 acres. 18k sq ft is the size of a warehouse or a grocery store. NOT ENOUGH. other AZA-accredited zoos have better enclosures. and the AZA is just a pathetic bare minimum standard@@JASumna

They're considered vulnerable, overall, but in many parts of africa, they're critically endangered. It's an attempt to increase the population to save the species

As opposed to being lured off a confined national park to be shot by some dentist. The true wilderness doesnt exist anymore, or if it does, you have to go to the polar north or south, or Siberia. But Africa? These animals live in closely monitored national parks.
