The ACC allowed schools to play an out of conference game so long as the school was in the same state. The SEC did not allow non conference games so Clemson could not face USC as their non conference game. Since USC and Clemson are the only 2 division 1 schools in the state of South Carolina they had to play some garbage team

SEC would be a fun one for you. Not saying you wouldn't be able to compete, but you'd definitely have some tougher games to play throughout the season. Schedules have been ranked so far, across the nation, as far as the toughest and Clemson is like #42 on the list. My Vols are at #8. It's mostly SEC heavy at the top of the list, I guess because a lot of our teams are ranked. The ones that aren't are still pretty good. We play #2 Alabama, #3 Florida, #4 Georgia, #7 Auburn, #13 Texas A&M. Then the rest of the schedule are teams that are either slightly weaker than us or pretty even matchups. I would agree about Big 10 and the rest. I think SEC is about the only option for a schedule that would be taxing on your players, to the point that there would be some upsets.
