Not the first review I've seen on the Nighthawk but one of the best!

For all of you crying about this watch not having a sapphire crystal...call your dam local jeweler and be be prepared to pay to have a sapphire crystal installed but don't whine and complain about this issue as if it's something that can't be remedied. As for me, I think Citizen made the right call on this watch to include a mineral crystal rather than a sapphire crystal. I rather have a shatter resistant crystal on a pilot tool watch than a scratch resistant one. End of story.

I own this model since approx 15years and I like my nighthawk so much because the preciseness is outstanding only the mineral glass have some scratches 😢 and if there would be possible a upgrade to sapphire crystal I would change it

There is a way. Take it to your local jeweler and ask. That's all it takes.

Just love Citizen watches! Some of them are a bit too big for my wrist, the Nighthawk is probably one of them and it's why I never bought it. But as I just love Citizen and Eco-drive, I'll probably buy it sooner rather than later.

Overall I like the watch but the second hand not hitting the markers would be a negative for me , very noticeable on the close-ups , thanks for the balanced review

I have this watch and from angle the second hand looks misaligned. Having noticed this several times, I can say that all the hands are bang on. Mine is about 10 years old now.

I'm not a fan of the date window. It is slightly too small. It would look better without it.

As an owner of this Citizen Nighthawk watch that is built like a tank and going on ten years on my wrist with no issues since I bought it, I will invalidate all your 5 reasons for not liking this watch. The watch is not BIG....the problem is your wrist is SMALL. Reason 1 invalidated. Mineral crystal is more shatter proof than sapphire crystal. The only benefit of sapphire is its scratch resistance. Reason 2 invalidated. The dial is NOT busy...your brain capacity to read it properly is the problem here. Reason 3 invalidated. The bezel turns smoothly and easily because this is NOT a dive watch but rather a tool watch for pilots. Reason 4 invalidated. No lume on the GMT hand? Are you serious? This is a tool watch for pilots and NOT a world travelers watch. Lume on the GMT hand NOT required on this watch. Reason 5 invalidated. Conclusion: Your 5 reasons for not liking this watch have all been invalidated sir and seem more like a nitpicker issue. I suggest you see a psychiatrist for that problem. Nothing left to say.😁

A watch with a crown to rotate an inner bezel is a weakness. I doubt very much it can withstand 200m of water pressure. I rather have an external rotating bezel instead.

Hey there, Thanks for the comment and support. That is true , a watch with and inner bezel is more susceptible to damage that one without. Regarding the WR , I'm not trying to sound condescending but the ratings don't work like that .. this is not a watch that can actually go to 200 meters under the ocean

Since when did this watch claim to be a "divers watch" that has to withstand 200m of water resistance? You want a divers watch go out and buy one...this is a pilot tool watch and I doubt you are a pilot to understand that.
