Hey Andy, I recently purchased the AQ4091-56M. Have to say, the watch is really of high quality and is amazingly beautiful. Abit embarrassed to admit I brushed off citizen as a brand before experiencing firsthand myself. 😅

amazing review... i have been wondering for a long time about how citizen's stainless steel and titanium (both with duratect platinum coating) compare in terms of look, and you gave a sharp to core answer.. so the titanium actually look whiter than the stainless steel. Thanks a lot! in terms of scratch resistance, i can testify even my cheap SGD400 titanium citizen is still scratch free after i wear it in the office for a week, went to the beach, brushed it against sand etc... My Sea Dweller got mulitple scratches after one plane ride.. for sure titanium with duratect is much more scratch resistance than normal stainless steel. For Citizen stainless steel with duratect coating (like 4080), I am not sure

Thanks for dropping by. Good to know that the Duratech coating on your watch is so lasting. These days I’m always wearing Gshocks so I can’t really gauge how good the coating is. Nice to know that these things can withstand regular wear. Wear yours in good health.

I think both of these are some of the better-looking ones; What I saw in Japan were models where the indices looked lumed, but under a loupe you could see that they were actually striped with paint. Sure enough, they didn’t glow. Also, on your white 4020, you have a clean-looking chapter ring; On other models, I saw that chapter ring but there were lume plots every 5 minutes that make the design look more crude. Consequently, my choice looks more like the 4080, with printed minute track on the dial; I felt that it was classy elegance. I had to give up on lume, but that was true of my GS as well. What was the weight difference between stainless steel and titanium?

Thank you for all your videos on The Citizen watches. For the one(s) you wear often, have you gotten any scratches on the external "clarity coating" on the sapphire crystal? I'm always concerned when a watch has external AR coating.

Yes, a signed crown would have been nice. I have to make do without it on my 4020. A shame because it’s a great watch.

Does the aq4080 has too blueish/purple tone or light blue/grey? the later is easier to dress up with it

It’s a more purplish hue for the 4080.
