Thanks for these! I missed out on this series when I was a kid. Been going through an "underground world" phase after playing Arx Fatalis, so this very enjoyable. You speak well, and great audio quality too

I feel you. When I was younger I'd read this book every couple of years; certain parts always gave me chills, like the very beginning when the box opens with no one to see. You can tell this book is a labor of love, and I always wished there was an audiobook. When I listened to the official one, it wasn't what I'd hoped for, so I decided to do it myself. Little did I know I'd become the de facto search result for 'City of Ember Audiobook' on KZbin.

When I was a care giver for a man with a very serious Traumatic Brain Injury, I found this book in his room. His 10 year old niece was reading it and forgot about it, leaving it at his home. I saw it and picked it up to see what it was about. I ended up reading the entire thing (mostly aloud so my patient could join). We ended up binge reading it and I bought next book “The People of Sparks”. We eventually binge read that one as well! He passed away two years ago… I’m not the same still.. I saw the four book series collection and bought it. Once again, I’ve binged read the first 2 books. Now I’m roughly 50 pages in to the 3rd. Love it! Love these books and I love there is someone, online, creating free audio version.
