Today's chapter image is no exception, being a photo of one of the more intriguing things that isn't a painting. This is the "Cave Bear Altar," where, around 30,000 years ago, a pelolithic human placed the skull of a Cave Bear on a rock. We don't know why. Thank you for making this audiobook. I used to read these books over and over but I now have a brain wasting disease, I can't even hold a book still and it is very difficult to concentrating enouhg to read now. yes, I had read that Auel was battling cancer at the time and finally won. I don't know whether it's actually true, but I was so glad not only that she was alive but that we finally got the long awaited book.
