Growing up a young punk the Clash soon became my favourite and this heavily slagged album was, and still is my favourite, even nearly 40 years later,a musical masterpiece,never surpassed. The baseline never tires.

I remember hearing The Clash for the first time in my isolate Northern town. I went out the next day, bought the double album London Calling and cut my hair like Joe Strummer. I bought this triple album at the same store a couple years later. It still holds up 4 decades later. The only band that matters.
