Mick giving a bit of an Angus Young lookalike towards the end of Complete Control! Great stuff in general and The Clash I loved much more than than when they were releasing records like London Calling and Sandinista. To my ears, some bands improved from their early days like the Banshees and The Damned but I personally don't think The Clash did, I just think they mixed that many past musical styles they got a bit boring.
@brucelee-wo5ge7 ай бұрын
Interesting comment. Not sure that Mick would have cared about Angus' style. In my humble opinion their final album was not as passionate or genius as those preceding, however a couple of nuggets are legendary. The brilliance, vision and application of the Clash was, to me, and millions of other people, highly inspirational.

Very shy! They were just young kids finding their way as a band - and hadn't much experience of interviews, especially not on TV.

Because they play the song, not the record? Or perhaps because they were just young kids and not highly skilled. Still learning their craft!

Not the best representation of the Clash. Sound quality is awful. The French crew were probably more used to recording Charles A. and Johnny H. 🙂
