The origin of this song is funny: Joe Strummer: "Operation Julie was carried near Wales. They were manufacturating LSD. The only way for the cops to bust them was to put in some hippies of their own, who had to take acid repeatedly to mantain cover. The song is about that, imagining tripping policemen."
