it´s so different from the released version...more poppy and without the "hooligan" chorus. And yet, I´m one of those who think Cut the crap had to be done the way it was done, mixing electronics with guitars. Otherwise it would have been the same old thing.

This is a different version of the B-side "Do It Now" from the single "This Is England", which was the bands last produced single before Mick Jones was kicked out of the band.

i arrive ten years later but are you saying that Mick Jones worked on This is England and a part of cut the crap sessions i guess??
@ottosweden1237 ай бұрын
@@mackenziemaken Don't know why I wrote that, it being untrue and all. No he did not. There was well over a year between him being kicked out and the single being released

@@ottosweden123i searched a bit and even though cut the crap sessions began a year later of Mick Jones dismissal, there were a few sessions before and after he was kicked and theres a demo of this is England on the strummer 001 solo album called wheres england/ czechoslovac song with only strummer simonon and pete howard

Live,this incarnation were fantastic-at least initially.They sounded revitalised on this tour compared to the burned out version of a couple years previous.Then again it could just have been that Terry Chimes was vastly inferior to Topper,and wasn't able to raise his game to suit the bigger stage after his original stint in the band.

Yes ofcourse don't you :-) ?? Even Vince White did mention it in his book. Of course "Do it now" was raped by Bernie Rhodes! (Like all the new songs!)

I think there is Terry Chimes.

Joe, Paul and... Who the hell are these two guys? And where the fuck is Mick and Topper? I love The Clash, but I regret that the band fell apart so quickly. But I forgave Joe, because I love them all.
