I grew up listening to you guys as a kid and teenager. I always loved your music and resonated with it in a deeply spiritual way as a Christian. I'm 29 now, still a Christian and recently rediscovered your music and there's a lot of nostalgia. These lyrics resonate in ways now I would've never imagined, understood and grasped back when I first discovered you guys. Thank you for your raw honesty. Thank you for being so transparent in all of your lyrics in all of your music on how you fall short, the love and grace of God despite your shortcomings, your honest observations of the world and it's people and the hard truth that most people are afraid to say out loud. I am in a season of working through a new "layer" of trauma I experienced as a child and young adult and shame has accompanied me all throughout this journey, along with wondering if the pain will ever stop being so extreme. I had never heard this song until a few months ago and I believe God brought it to me at just the right time to remind me of exactly what your song says, that He is not done with me yet. This song brought me so, so many tears of hope the first time I heard it and it continues to every time I listen. It has been a breath of fresh air and a relief for my heart knowing that I have not wearied God with my pain and struggles and that he reassures me that He is not done with me yet. And I too can still somehow come to him and tell him also that I am not done with Him either. I believe this song is one of the many means in which he is bringing about His healing in me. And for that, I thank you so deeply and so sincerely. Because of this song, I continue to rediscover to new depths, understand and experience the love and tender patience Jesus has always had for me. Thank you.
