They deserved to be in the music hall of fame. So underrated. Music for eternity. I am so grateful to have experienced their beautiful music. Cannot ever compare to today's heartless music.

I saw him at an outdoor concert. It started to rain and everyone ran under the bleachers. I looked around and Dennis was standing right next to me! So was Barbara Lewis! Had a great short conversations.

The guitar player was actually me - age 23 at the time. The drummer is the promoter that booked the show. And yes, unfortunately, it was sync'd, in front of a live audience. It was fun. :)

@@gordon2422 Ah! I did not know that. Sorry, and thank you!

@@michaelericksonmusic Jacksonville has a great history of music, in particular Southern Rock, with bands that formed here such as the Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, .38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Blackfoot, Rossington-Collins, etc. The Classics IV pre-dated these bands, and 3 of their band members went on to form the Atlanta Rhythm Section, which can be referred to as the Jacksonville Rhythm Section, lol. Other bands came later such as Limp Bizkit, Shinedown, etc.

It sounds like the original recording.
@oldiesgeek12 жыл бұрын
You're right, it is the original recording. The musicians are just pretending to play. They may have removed the vocal track however, so at least Dennis could sing live to it. But, it appears he's doing a lip-sync performance.
@GalaxyDaveD5 жыл бұрын
Haven't seen this since 1986. Sad this whole performance is a lip sync.
@TonysMusic197410 ай бұрын
Is this guy REALLY lip synching to the original recording 17 years later???? Wow.

Is this guy, with a channel of himself lip syncing to his own recordings, REALLY commenting on a lip sync from 37 years ago???? Wow.
@TonysMusic197410 ай бұрын
@michaelericksonmusic big difference Einstein. I'm playing all the instruments and not 17 years prior. Also, I don't describe them as live performances
@michaelericksonmusic10 ай бұрын
@@TonysMusic1974 This is not described as a LIVE performance. It's just a very typical T.V. lip sync - happened all the time, "Einstein."
@TonysMusic197410 ай бұрын
@@michaelericksonmusic sure. It happened all the time . . . . To a recently recorded track - or they sing live to the recently recorded backing track. Don't try to brush this off as normal. It wasn't - even for 1986. It was super cheesy.
@user-Stephen-19679 ай бұрын
My question is simple, Why not play it live ? ? ? It appears the original instruments, but not players, are present, also without the String instruments.
@markl556210 күн бұрын
The whole thing was lip synched? That's pretty lame
