A) As the other person said, acting crew prevents you getting voted out, while making sure that one impostor is also gone. B) If you seem crew, people will believe stuff you say more.

So 5up was assassin, claimed engineer to find the real engineer, got it wrong on Hafu so he assassinated himself, because Hafu was actually executioner, but 5up was her target, so she turned jester, which is why she started pushing on Ellum out of nowhere, and Steve was the other impostor... what

Imposters cant be executioner target because then it would be impossible to win for crew, since voting out imposter (crews win condition) would make crew lose. (ignoring situation where glitch kills the imposter target)

This is what I believe her thought process was: 5up was most likely imposter and claimed engineer boldly so he probs killed the engineer to do that especially since no one else was claiming it so she thought she could get away with claiming it. So if he was imposter then he may get caught again later and then people would want to vote him out which would make people think Hafu wasn't executioner anymore so then people will also believe her when she was saying ellum was 5up's partner. So then people would hopefully vote ellum at that point giving her the win. Unfortunately for her, it became chaos when 5up ended up being assassin and died trying to kill hafu and the engineer ended up being alive still.

The meeting where 5up died, in pretty much every possible reality, Hafu is not good at the end of it. The options are that someone is framing 5up as assassin, in which cause that’s either hafu or a different imposter killing 5up as engineer, meaning hafu isn’t engineer which puts her as either imposter or executioner, or 5up really is assassin and misfired on hafu by guessing engineer. So no matter what pretty much hafu was bad I think ?

I don't think so, Hafu could have claimed engineer as any other role. It doesn't mean she's bad, just that she can't be trusted to be telling the truth -- not quite the same thing. Since Assassins are a thing, misclaiming your role is actually a strategic move to pull off as an imposter OR a crew/neutral since as imposter you could get away with hiding the truth of the fact you're an evil role, and you could do it as a crew/neutral to make the Assassin potentially kill themselves, as Hafu accomplished with 5up here. She also just happened to be a neutral killing role, but still could have been crew until she kinda outed herself as an Executioner later when she started pushing Ellum really hard. Someone couldn't have questioned what role she was either because they weren't sure if 5up was assassinated for being the Engi or dead because he was the Assassin. The other case, that 5up was killed by the Assassin, would not have been a good play if Hafu was the Assassin, since it instantly outs her as one for no gain -- she wasn't going to be pushed out that round at that point, and might not have been until a later round. Anyone in the lobby could have seen 5up vent and not say anything, and assassinate 5up at the perfect time to frame Hafu as the Assassin as well. Honestly 5up misplayed this pretty hard in retrospect, but probably felt pretty under pressure at getting caught so It's understandable. All in all, a really hard game to keep track of everything for sure.
