I think the reason for so much 6+ lineman was because we only had Akins at TE since Njoku was out. There woulda been less 6+ OL sets and more 12 personnel if Njoku was healthy

I’m starting to think a lot of you guys never watched Deshaun in Houston. This is exactly how he played in Houston. I would know since I’m from here and watched all his games while watching Browns games. Biggest difference between this version and Houston version is that he doesn’t have the speed to outrun the edge rushers like he did when he was 24. However, when the game was on the line and you needed him to make a clutch play, he always delivered. Just like he has done here.

@@WSAMP24 you gotta realize this team was building around for 4 years Baker Mayfield before Deshaun was even considering leaving Houston. We’re currently building the roster around Deshaun and trying to reprogram our offensive lineman to adjust to a mobile quarterback vs a less mobile Baker Mayfield. Houston was pre-built for a quarterback similar to Deshaun when they traded him to us and all they had to do was fill in the pieces (allah Houston’s 2023 and 2024 draft classes).

@@WSAMP24 he has never played a full NFL season since 2020. Suspension and injuries has slowed him down from being able to get back to form. If he can stay healthy or not get suspended then this full season will help him get his feet back under him and help the front office and coaches learn more about how to best adapt the offense around Deshaun.
