This was "my song" for a very special lady that I married in 1980, the year this song was released. We had a wonderful marriage until 6 days after our 32nd anniversary, when cancer claimed the life of my beautiful bride. This song still holds special meaning for me, and I cannot listen to it without crying my eyes out. RIP Michiko, my wonderful wife!!!!

@medmar76 They didn't disappear. "Couldn't Get It Right" was 1976, "I Love You" was 1980. The latter song caused so much stress for the band internally that they eventually broke up, although they reunited later with a modified lineup. Interesting how "Couldn't Get It Right" was credited to The Climax Blues Band, yet this one is The Climax Blues Band featuring Derek Holt. Kinda gives you an idea why the other members are so bitter about this otherwise beautiful piece.
