This is one song that's perfectly sung and perfectly composed. So good in fact, that you can actually hear every word clear as a bell...a rarity! You sure can tell that Derek LOVES to play and sing this song and I don't blame him. He definitely OWNS this song👍!

Derek, An honor to share the same space with you. Absolutely a fantastic song. This was the closing song at my wedding last August because it perfectly described the relationship I have with my wife. It also happened to be the only song I insisted on having played. It is one of the few songs that I never tire of and love dearly. It is truly a song that transcends time. Glad you got to share this moment with your daughter. Thanks again, and cheers!

I always loved this song. I met my wife in 2004 in june . we married and still are married im 53 now. One day i was driving home from work and im always into lyrics of songs . i almost had to pull over cause i was so welled up with tears. This song fit me n my wife exactly.i was a mess drunk all the time hair pretty long unshaven.she came here from lima peru and metephorically picked me up off the floor . talked alot and i had pretty much given up in life til i met her she helped me get up off the floor brush myself off and start over again.thanks for the wonderful music.

That was just so beautiful,so many fathers in the world because of their relationship fell apart with the mothers they never really had a relationship with their daughters and its not that they did not want that,I also have a daughter that got lost because of bitterness from the mother,no forgiveness,I tried and tried and it never happened,now Iam 63 and daughter is 41,I still long to have something because I love her .Seeing this video breaks me up and I make puddles.

@hannerybananery12 You know, Hannah, I first saw this video about a year ago, right after I put the song on a Valentine's Day cd for my wife. For someone who grew up on the music of the 70s, it's still one of the best love songs ever written, imo - a credit to your dad and his band. That said, when I watched this for the first time, and again, now, I see a father beaming with pride more than a shy girl singing for a bunch of strangers. As a father of two girls, 6 and 3, I get it. Well done.
