I am super happy to report that it worked on Oct 13 and Oct 14! We were at the park for two days. Total spending for this hack was $18! Instead of paying $70 at the park parking. Parked over 8 hours each day. I did buy the tap card and the $5 metro day trip pass, out of my surprise, the $10 that I put in the tap card was stored inside my tap card. I would imagine that the $5 will expire at the end of the day but it didn’t. Great hack and thank you for sharing

Just wanted to say thank you and report that it worked in October 18-19. The first day we were in a rush to get to the park ASAP and went straight to pay the parking and then ahead to the bridge / tram. The second day I realized that it would not allow you to pay the parking unless you had a tap card, therefore I just went down to the station and purchased one. You saved me many dollars, thanks for sharing, you are awesome!

When going back, do you just take the same tram back? Is there a certain time it stops running?

@Banana69999 yes, you take the same tram back. It picks up in the same place it drops you off. I'm not sure what the current tram hours are, but it'll run until after the park closes. There's a sign posted by the tram with the hours each day.

@imbackyeah3773 we parked there about a week ago. The only thing worth noting is that if you park there more than once, the machine might require that you have a tap card. I mention how to get one in the video.

@@baretlimuhendis it's currently running from 6am to 3am. It comes pretty often, maybe every 10 to 15 minutes. It just does a loop up the hill and back, and there's more than one.

I'm honestly not sure. I don't think it usually runs that late, but I'd hope it would run later than usual for HHN. I might go up there this week. If I do, I'll see if I can find out.

Does the tram let you take a stroller? It didn't look like there was space for them. I have a bulky one.

Can you collapse the stroller? I'm assume you could probably fit it on if you collapse it. I know the signs said you can still ride it if you have a wheelchair, so there might be extra room in the front part of the tram.

1:29 wait i'm so confused. There are signs that say you cannot park in this lot for universal studios but it leads you directly to universal studios ? Also wondering, what is this parking lot intended for?

Yes. This is exactly the case. It's technically a park and ride lot for commuters riding the train or the bus, but Universal Studios is literally across the street, and there's a very easy way to get there directly from the parking lot. It's kind of like when you go to the beach and a parking lot across the street says "no beach parking." A lot of people ignore the signs.

You can walk, but I would take the tram. The entrance is on top of the hill, and that's kind of a difficult way to start your day. The tram is free and fairly quick.
