You lost me right at the beginning: Fog? Are you for real? All those magical images in foggy terrain. It's the only way for normal people to be inside a cloud. Come on! It's like A tier!

I was visiting a castle on a hill and then the fog rolled in underneath the bit of the hill the castle was on leaving a sea of cloud with magical little islands poking out. The fog was moving so it was like we were in a castle ship sailing. Theres also something about driving though thick fog when youre little and the world becomes only that inside your car which only ever happened when my fam was traveling to meet extended family. The existance of fog is the only thing that makes the render distance on some games not seem super jarring. S teir for atmosphere. E teir for safe driving.

As a glider pilot, I am particularly fond of the humble cumulus mediocris. Those rising warm air currents that you mentioned form the clouds, we call thermals and they are what allows us to stay airborne for hours with no engine power at all. So if on a fair summers day you see a sky full of well defined cumulus clouds, you now know that that is what both us glider pilots and large birds consider the best of the best for flying.

Subjectve indeed. Fog is the most magical and wondrous of clouds to me. The bottom of my tier is that grey homologous sheet casting a cold drizzle that promises to never end, ecompassing seemingly the entire earth in a blanket of cold gloom (nimbostratus?), which also makes me whistful, take long walks and to get lost in my imagination. Oh dear... I'm hopeless. Bring on the misery and see me pine for the old days on the Nova Scotia seaside.

Wikipedia says noctilucent clouds are the highest, higher than PSCs. You might be confusing 85 km (kilometres !!!) = the height of noctilucent clouds, with "82,000 ft" , which is only 25 km = maximum height of PSCs. Noctilucent are in the mesosphere, whereas PSC are polar Stratospheric clouds

Here is the best unthinkable tier list I wanted to see 😆Honestly, I am glad you did this video! I'm happy, I'm not the only one to be amazed by clouds. Clouds are amazing, they create so beautiful landscape and pictures, especially during storms or sunsets. And, as lots of people here, I would have put fog higher in the list because of the ambiance and atmosphere they create. The last not least reason is because it's the easiest way to be inside one cloud too, and that is really cool😌Anyway, thanks for the video!

Love the video, glad to get all the names of the clouds I watch but never quite remember the exact name. Comment on Pyrocumulonimbus Clouds though being "rare".... relative to most places on the east coast or Europe, sure rare, but the mountain west, or any area with lots of fires, more common than one may think. I'll see a dozen a year while out camping or just from the road side. And if you want to see these grow throughout the mid morning, then explode during the afternoon, turn the Goes West weather satellite on during Aug or Sept. They are plainly visible and the way they blow up when the afternoon sun and wind hit is just amazing. You'll even see streams of smoke taking on different styles of clouds drifting hundreds of miles. Ever wonder where that smoke in the are is actually coming from, turn on the Goes West.... (mutters... how many times the local news is wrong about where it's coming from is way to common)

We should reduce are parking lots by 50% since they take up 25 to 30% of citys land use. Parking garages can have same or more parking spots and free up land they can even have batteries on first floor and solar or wind on top. The new land can be used for green spaces to help reduce flooding heat wind and energy demand in the city.

do they (Henson) make razor re-sharpeners? My grand-dad had one ad it was a great piece of hardware: it was a two-halves of (exceedingly fine) whetstone strung with two pieces of string. the old blade would go between the halves, and as one pulled the contraption back and forth, the blade would be re-sharpened as it was "swung" in between the sharpening stones.

mammatus clouds are less formed by under belly turbulence and exist more as a 'density overhang'. this is due to ice and water particles falling out of the cumulus anvil cloud into dry air and then sublimating or evaporating, a process which pulls heat from the environment and cools the air producing an unstable density gradient [Schultz et al 2006 cited by Ravichandran et al 2020].
