I love this particular flying shot (brief as it is) because Superman flies over the top of the camera. You see him from below, which is exactly the perspective you would view him from if he really did fly past. Not the horizontal perspective they used most of the time, like the viewer is in an airplane alongside him!

This was the episode that scared me for life. Never enjoyed seeing a clown afterwards. The first and second seasons of The Adventures of Superman were far more adult in nature and dealt with some seriously nefarious criminals. However, i still love watching them nearly seventy years later.

Hey Jim: After John Hamilton died, the story was that George and the other surviving cast members had signed on for at least another year. Do you know whether Whit Ellsworth had any scripts ready before George passed on?

Apparently not. In fact Whit told me that another season was not in the works. Yet Noel's recollection was that another season was planned. I suspect that at best it was still in the talking stages, but that's just a guess on my part. No scripts have ever turned up, and no one left behind any contracts although Jack left contracts for the previous seasons.
