it's been noted that rolling too fast can cause you to go over the game's 30 input per second limit on a single button and cause inputs to not register, so any future technique would be aimed to improve consistency and not speed

tournament games might start implementing a timer (probably still something generous around 20 minutes) so games don't just go on forever. This probably especially applies to PAL given the slower framerate and the current score WR is over 45 minutes

Mullen scores shouldn't count as "competition" scores.
@vicious_rhubarb2247
@vicious_rhubarb2247 2 жыл бұрын
Well, there's a reason why we have the Highest Losing Score as a world record category that gets more of the prestige, attention, and hype as a competition-based score record. (Recent losing score WRs were the mid 1.5 by fractal against andy in may ctm, before that 1.325 by alex against fractal in april ctm, and before that the 1.30 by pokenerd against dog in ctwc 2021.) Combined Score is treated more as a secondary, fun fact kind of sidenote in the case when it doesn't coincide with the highest losing score game due to higher margins of victory, like in "Mullen" games. There's no good way to standardize at which point a "Mullen" begins in an online competition due to variance in stream delay from both the players and host, so the sensible thing to do is to count the entire game and treat it as a separate category that has less value in terms of a measure of "competition" and how good a competitive game was.
@Alvin_Vivian
@Alvin_Vivian 2 жыл бұрын
@@vicious_rhubarb2247 Highest Losing Score makes no sense... You're literally admitting that the opponent, who had the winning score, scored higher.
@vicious_rhubarb2247

@@Alvin_Vivian It accurately reflects the necessary points the winner needed to score to win the game, with Mullening a game having no effect on the losing score. Big difference between, say, scoring a 1.2 against an opponent's 600k and scoring a 1.2 against an opponent's 1.1
