So Jim Sterling went mad for two years and ate nothing but onion and butter sandwiches. That actually makes so much sense. Jim Sterling is the David Bowie of video game reviewers. Not only do they share a flamboyant personality, a flair for drama and performance, and a penchant for creative personas... but David Bowie once went mad (aka massively addicted to cocaine) for TWO YEARS during which he ate nothing but milk and peppers (and cocaine). I wonder if Jim also fancies himself a bit of a magician.

Guy was an A hole naturally, but one lunch we where having burgers and he asked for no onions, but the galley crew being cool thought he might still be hungry so they gave him some extra onion rings. Guy flipped out and cursed out the galley crew for a solid few minutes then made them go take the onion rings off. Guy came back, capt flipped shat again because they didn't bring him a new plate and he could still see the onion ring crumbs, and spent another few minutes berating the galley crew for no reason. I ask if there are onions & they say there isn't, but like he said "I can see them!". For the longest time I thought I was the odd one out, but then I find there is SO MUCH that doesn't have onions in it & doesn't even need to have onions to be good, yet they kept putting them in despite me saying for years that I. Can't. Stand. Onions. It started to feel like a smack in the face to be honest.

Why I hate onions: Hate the taste, hate the smell, hate the texture, hate the way their taste contaminates food even if it's been scraped off, hate the burning sensation it inflicts on throat. Garlic, well, I can have and enjoy garlic if it's been ground into a powder, or if it's in very fine chunks disolved into a chili. Can't stand mushrooms, they feel like potatoes made out of LIES. Yams, eh, don't particularly care for yams. They're like bootleg potatoes. Also hello KZbin algorithm.

Why do parents feel it's okay to lie to their kid when adults lying to each other about the same thing would be quite offensive? Because according to them it's "for the sake of the child"? I never understood that. Yes, let's lie that the little kittens have been given to a nice old lady at the edge of town you cannot visit, not at all been put in a bag and beaten to death because we didn't want to deal with them. Yes, let's lie that because they are too young... "you will understand when you grow up" my a*se! 30 years later I'm still angry about that notion - who the fuk' could think it's normal to kill kittens or puppies?
