@@StephenIC They're similar in terms of their game quality standards, but they had very different views of micro transaction. TB was fine with cosmetic and pay-to-skip so long as the p2s was fairly balenced with the equivalent playtime requirements. Jim is almost completely anti-microtransaction unless the game is free-to-play, in which it's allow if the prices are fair.

You're right that simplicity can be a good thing. But clearly TB believed the game's simplicity was a hindrance. Simplicity can make something accessible, but it can also make it extremely monotonous. I've never played the game myself, but I'm inclined to believe TB. Given how many people have complained about the game's bugs, I'm also inclined to believe that he was right about that too.
