Jacob Tack. I’VE REPRINTED YOUR REPLY AND PUT MY RESPONSES IN CAPITALS: Yes you are correct, hence i don’t have a low opinion of you, yet i have a strong opinion on the lies of christianity. THIS IS YOUR OPINION AND YOUR INTERPRETATION OF SCRIPTURE. I COULD EQUALLY ACCUSE YOU OF LYING, BUT I WOULDN’T BE SO IMPOLITE, I WOULD RATHER SAY THAT YOU ARE MISTAKEN - PROBABLY HONESTLY MISTAKEN - BUT NOT A LIAR. WE MUST NEVER LOSE TOUCH WITH GRACE AND ALWAYS PREFER TO GIVE THE OTHER PERSON THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. Let me explain to you what a born again christian is. YOU ARE NOW ABOUT TO EXPLAIN YOUR VERSION OF THE MATTER. I asked Yahuah how i could be born again as a christian and be following false teaching. You see, when you believe the Bible and that the Father has sent His Son to die for our sins. Then you know the truth. Then it is our duty, to walk in His light following the example of our Messiah Yahusha(1Pet 2:21). And that is where the christian fails, they do NOT follow the example of the Hebrew Messiah. NOTE WELL THE CONTEXT OF THIS SCRIPTURE. CONTEXT IS EVERYTHING, IT ALWAYS IS! READ THE VERSES BEFORE AND AFTER, THE SPIRIT IS INSTRUCTING US TO BE PREPARED TO SUFFER FOR OUR BELIEFS, TO BE PATIENT AND TO OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD. IN OTHER WORDS, WE RETURN TO THE IDEA OF GRACE. Because He never called the Father Lord/Ba’al, He was never called Jesus. He never went to church on Sunday, neither celebrated Christmas, Easter etc. THESE ISSUES CONSTITUTE ANOTHER MATTER ENTIRELY, BUT THIS IS NOT WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING IN I PET 2:21, YOU HAVE TAKEN THE VERSE OUT OF CONTEXT AS I EXPLAINED ABOVE. So now lets see what the Scripture says about being born again. The 1st thing Yahuah says is that we MUST be cleansed. How are we cleansed? Through our obedience to His Word. I Pe 1:22. FIRSTLY I’D LIKE TO REFER YOU TO JESUS’ EXPLANATION OF BEING BORN AGAIN, IT MUST BE A WORK OF THE SPIRIT, NOT THE FLESH, NO AMOUNT OF OBEDIENCE CAN EFFECT THE REBIRTH, IT IS THE WORK OF THE SPIRIT THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS, SEE JN 3:15 AND THE ENTIRE CONTEXT. OBEDIENCE TO HIS WORD IS CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT, OF COURSE, WE CO-OPERATE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT IN PURIFYING OUR LIVES OF SINFUL PRACTICES. HOWEVER, IT WOULD BE A MISTAKE TO SAY THAT THIS IS THE 1ST THING, AS YOU SAY, BECAUSE IT ISN’T. WE MUST FIRST BE CLEANSED BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS. THERE ARE DOZENS OF SCRIPTURES TO SUPPORT THIS FUNDAMENTAL TRUTH (I JN 1:7, HEB 9:22, EPH 1:7, AND SO ON). AND PETER HIMSELF FULLY UNDERSTOOD IT. ONCE AGAIN, LOOK AT THE CONTEXT OF YOUR VERSE. IN I PET 18-19 THE SPIRIT TELLS US THAT WE ARE REDEEMED THROUGH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF THE LAMB. THIS IS THE 1ST NECESSITY, WITHOUT IT, NONE OF US COULD HOPE TO OBEY GOD’S WORD. Now that you have cleansed your lives in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another fervently with a clean heart, AS I’VE EXPLAINED, THE OBEDIENCE THAT FOLLOWS OUR INITIAL CLEANSING THROUGH THE BLOOD IS HOW WE CO-OPERATE WITH THE SPIRIT IN GETTING OUR LIVES IN ORDER OR, AS PETER SAYS IT, “PURIFYING OUR SOUL”. THIS IS ALL PERFECTLY HEALTHY AND GOOD, BUT FOLLOWS THE CLEANSING OF THE BLOOD. SALVATION IS A GIFT OF GOD’S GRACE, NOT A WORK, THE WORKS ARE THE FRUIT OF BEING SAVED. I PRODUCE GOOD WORKS BECAUSE I’M CLEANSED BY THE BLOOD, NOT IN ORDER TO BE CLEANSED. IF YOU CAN ACCEPT WHAT I HAVE SAID THUS FAR THEN WE CAN PROCEED FURTHER. BUT, IF NOT, I’M AFRAID WE HAVE PARTED COMPANY AT THE VERY START, OUR FOUNDATIONS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT AND IT WOULD BE FUTILE FOR US TO GO ANY FURTHER.
