It's confounding how Sandler proved his acting chops in Punch Drunk Love then went back to tax write-off, tropical holiday movies with his pals. He was IN as an actor! Oh Adam, how could you... Then its the odd rare treat to get the likes Reign Over Me, Uncut Gems and that new spider spaceman thingy.

He definitely phoned it in here you're right. Punch drunk love is the next review out and it is truly astounding the difference in his ability. Reign over me is a personal favourite too

@@thesharehousehome Probably his best comedy in the last 10 years but not quite at the level of The Wedding Singer or The Waterboy. Better than Happy Gilmore though I have nostalgia for that film. I'd put it in his top 5 honestly. It's funny and touching. Adams views on the Israel genocide has kind of soured all of his works for me. Now when I see him it's hard not to just see a genocidal Zionist.

It is absolute ass no denying it , but neither of us had seen it, and we just assume every Sandman flick is a masterpiece despite having a 1/5 on IMDb
