I think despite numerous great reviews over the years, they still struggle to gain mass traction and appreciation they truly deserve. This is by far their best looking Driver to date. Mark, thank you for the honest feedback. As a longtime Cobra supporter I feel like the brand gets passed over because they are not a huge marketing company. They seem to want the numbers to speak for themselves which they do. Great review, love the honest feedback.

Great review. I went for a driver fitting today, tried all brands and Cobra was the clear winner for me. Long straight and a very manageable miss. I struggle with having very low spin with driver but the X model really helped me with the Hazardous CB shaft. I was carrying it 275 with 2200 spin. (6.5 hcp) Thanks for the review Mark, opened my eyes to Cobra again.

Gamed the Aerojet LS last season, when middled it's long, but you need to be a consistent ball striker, having a look at the X this season, prepared to sacrifice a yard or two for more fairways Thx for the review

Mark, if I hadn't bought the Paradym TD last year I would be significantly be looking at the Cobra. They are stunning to look at and the LS is awesome. For a little more forgiveness I would whack the 12 gm weight in the back.

Loved the Cobra F9, didn't like Rad speed, Ltdx was awesome , didn't get on with the aerojet... That's my issue with Cobra... For me, it's a good release, followed by a poor one... That's just what I've found when ive owned/tested them

As Mark and many comments have said, Cobra have made very good drivers for a quite a long time now and the only somewhat issue being having that big reach to players. Even thought theyve been around forever theyre still not seen as one of THE golf brands like TaylorMade, Ping, Titlist or Callaway, which is where Ive been having a larger issue as of late. When I first started getting into Cobra clubs I liked that they usually tested similar to those 4 brands but were able to come in $150+ less or so which is huge when youre getting into the game (or finally upgrading away from family hand me downs lol), but since I think about LTDx (hated that boring ass branding too, which has been a separate personal issue Ive had too the last couple years) theyve been competing more with the big 4 in price too which hurts even my desire to get some of their newer stuff so ebay or brands like Wilson last year are becoming more of an option.

I suspect the main reason golfers don't game Cobra drivers is because of nothing more than a lack of marketing and hence they are cheaper than other premium brands because they don't shell out zillions to Mr McIlroy, Rahm, Speith, et al.

I have watched a lot, and I mean a lot of these driver reviews so far this year. I like that yours seem more honest and not just 320 down the middle like others. However. For average golfers like me and people watching these channels, turn the wind on the simulator. Play with these new toys on a course in England where its pi**ing with rain and the wind is blowing, on a freezing cold day. Very few people who watch these types of videos play in Dubai or Florida. If we are going to spend £600 a year on a driver, its gonna have to be worth it.....

It surprises me that all the manufacturers continue to produce LS versions which in 12 months time all the reviewers will say was impossible to hit anywhere other than out of the middle. It’s a bit like a bladed iron, which most golfers have now moved on from including pros. However, we still get offered LS drivers.

It would be nice to have an LS driver but I can't afford one. New Drivers are way out of my price range theses days. I'm still using a Titleist 915D3. I hit it pretty good, maybe 265 carry but my spin is in the 5500 range, maybe I should work on hitting up?

I still have my Cobra F9 driver and 3 wood in my bag. A couple years ago I decided to spend some money and buy myself some decent used clubs (I'm not able to play enough to justify spending enough to buy brand new clubs) I went and spent a few hours testing clubs. I walked away with everything in my bag being Cobra other than my wedges and putter. For the price, I really don't think you can do better than Cobra. I'm a full blown Cobra fanboy now. I hope they stay right again the price point they are at now so people like me can justify buying them.

@rickjablonski9669 Yeah, I could definitely see why a person would have that opinion. I'm a big fan of the way Cobra designs their clubs. I went to buy my first decent set of clubs I had never even heard of Cobra before. I was looking for a set of AP2s and I saw a set of Cobra Forged Tour irons and I had to try them. I hit maybe 20 shots but my mind was pretty much made up after the first one. I'm not a brand loyalty guy in anything else in life but for whatever reason Cobra is my go to golf brand.

@@tonyfortune346 yeah, my post wasn't to say that Cobra's clubs aren't solid. I actually think their drivers this year are the best looking of the bunch. My comment was more that many people are happy to overpay significantly for alleged performance benefits that simply aren't there. I've hit Maltby's TS1 against pretty much every players iron from all the big brands. And the TS1 performs at least as well in pretty much every metric. The big names don't have some secret sauce. They just have big marketing budgets. And golfers are incredibly easy to fool, year after year.

It’s built for speeds sbove 110mph… if you like to cut the ball and normally produce a spin rate around 3000rpm it could help you bring that down without going down in static loft👍🏼

It’s to add a little spin (higher moi). It’s for guys like me that play a draw and have too low of spin. My miss is the high toe. I can hit sub500 rpm with that miss using trackman and rct balls. I am definitely interested in the LS with the weight back. I don’t need less spin, but the “LS” models are neutral to fade biased (something I’m keen to see)

Theres a reason Dechambeau stopped using them… they're marketing to be the driver long ballers hit. Kyle Berkshire is who they've modeled their brand after they stopped listening to deChambeau, how stupid!!! Should've listenered to the goat after he helped build you some of the best tech (F9 speedzone) and you fucked him after he wanted more money. Shame on Cobra and everything you stand for.

You wouldn’t be able to play golf after hitting drives like that you blowing out ya hole after a dozen or so shots I’d say you’d do about 3 holes on a real course before you either put your back out or have a heart attack stick to the 262 easy swings
