:D Awesome song! XD But as a cajun, I have to protest at the gumbo being referred to as stew. It's not the same thing! lol That's a big mistake non-cajuns out there make in trying to figure it out. It's not stew.
@NecrochildK9 жыл бұрын
Hehe, not to nitpick, but I should note, there's far more creole than cajun in New Orleans. Cajun tends to be more south central Louisiana, around Lafayette, Abbeville, New Iberia, Opelousas. XD Just throwing out the facts most people tend to not be aware of because of stereotyping.
@morphman866 жыл бұрын
It's a bit like how non-Caribbean people try to figure out a jerk and call it a barbeque or non-Swedes trying to figure out surströmming and call it fermented herring or non-Danish people calling pølse "red sausage". Very localized food can be tricky to figure out sometimes, and it's very hard for someone who's actually in on the "secret" to watch as others keep misunderstanding it.

Ohhh. I really hate to say this John & Co, but this really rather disappointed me. I came from the video of the childrens performance of the song, looking forward to a pristine recording with your amazing vocals- but you really kinda overdid it here. The lyrics are great, and the song is fun, but your delivery of these lines is too exaggerated for me to enjoy. It removes the musicality of your voice, and doesn't do the song justice. Instead of sounding like you are singing about some gumbo you once had, you sound like you are playing a character who had some gumbo once. I'll just quietly petiton that you try and manage a rerecording of this one, as I know you can do better.
