Damn good review, as usual here. It seems that my adventure with CS knives has made a circle. CS Peacekeeper 1 was my first decent knife over 20 years ago. What a thrill it was to finally hold such a beast of a blade! And now I feel strong urge to buy this one, although I keep sayin to myself: you don't need another knife, you just ordered a Mora bushcraft forest yesterday... :) Thanks again, bro, and greetings from Poland!

Daniel, outstanding review. Thanks for answering my questions about Cold Steel and your most recent reviews. I'm a regular guy but love EDC and have loved knives since I was like 9. But I'm also a budget knife guy. I recently bought a Vosteed Raccon. Beautiful knife but I find myself carrying my Victorinox Sentinel or Cold Steel Double Safe Hunter. Why? If I mess either of those up, it's not a huge loss. That Vosteed knife is so nice, I am afraid to use it. Thanks for everything. Please continue to add some flashlight reviews and maybe some other EDC items, like maybe multitools that you could use in an outdoor environment.

You also can baton wood. Just not big pieces of wood. I throw my 4 in peace maker into cardboard did fine/ had fun throwing it. But like you said don't hit it on hard surfaces you will be fine.

Nice stuff. I mean i get why people its basic/plain b/c it is but thats the great things about cheap knives like that. One can customize such things as much as they want at that price. I like making my own stuff though. I just bought a bare mora kansibol blade & made a custom with it as a matter of fact.

I guess, it's name a "peacemaker" leads us to believe that this is a military item. It's pretty lightweight to be a pure a combat knife. It also has a grind and a sheath very similar to Mora 2000, which actually is a part of military equipment in some northern NATO countries. So, the idea is to open an ammo box with this knife and make peace with a much heavier weapon.

Coldsteel is primarily a knife fighting company haha! They’ve got a few Bushcraft blades, but they always have fighting in mind mostly. This is just a slicing machine as marketed

This is a defensive/combative knife. It is not a field knife. It is not a bushcraft knife, it is not a hard use tool. It is designed to punch into, and cut soft tissue. Regarldless of media hype, and the drivel of inexperienced, untrained people, that prefer 1/4 inch thick prybars with cool logos an anti-personnel blade needs to be thin, light, and fast. Being able to chop a log in half has very little to do with defending yourself at 2AM at a gas pump.
