Probably because they are men like my husband who wants it gone NOW and can't bother to take it to the Goodwill, or wait to have it picked up. He just dumps it in the trash. I put as much as possible in the Recycle bin that we have, but he never bothers.

I don't know why, but the idea that an old pair of my shoes I had thrown out ended up being collected by an old man and are sitting inside of a refrigerator in the middle of nowhere without me ever being the wiser really creeps me out.

I really don't understand why people throw away perfectly good things when you could donate it to the salvation army or goodwill. and someone less fortunate could use/play w/ it...( you may not have any use of it but some one else could..) completely wasteful.....
