Ray Byrne played for Collingwood from 1978 to 1983, appearing in 121 games and kicking 10 goals. After crossing from Carlton in 1978, Ray became a reliable defender and occasional winger. His best season was in 1980 when he finished runner up in the Copeland Trophy and was selected for Victoria. This footage covers the 1979 season up until Round 13 and the Escort Cup Grand Final against Hawthorn. In 1979 Ray played 26 games and kicked 2 goals.
