People will laugh in my face for this, but this game used to scare the crap out of me as a kid. Listening to the soundtrack now 15 years later still gives me a bit of a shiver... Thanks for sharing!

I dont blame you... I also got scared specially for some surprise attacks of this game...

Yes same!! Did you ever get grabbed in the closet or the secret passages? I nearly jumped out of my pants the first time that happened to me as a ten year old! I still refuse to go near that closet!!

Just listening to this now for the first time, but when a soundtrack opens with a "Copy Protection" theme sounding like incidental music from a dark , gritty episode of Doctor Who, circa 1981, I don't blame you one bit for feeling this way.

I actually think this is Roberta Williams' best game. It has a dose of comedy, but genuinely scary at times. This was actually the first Sierra game I ever saw(a computer shop in 1991 had apparently a demo disk of the game). It seemed like a more female centered game than what I was used to and I was intrigued.

The spying theme and the tune that plays while Ethel waltzes around drunk are still my two favorite songs in this game. The death jingle is surprisingly catchy too!

PUR's video of Colonel's Bequest videos brought me here. Gotta admit, the music is catchy.

Came here just for the spying song. Omg I missed this game. I used to play this constantly as a child.

Wow...I loved this game as a kid. My friends and I played this for weeks until we finished it. Good times. They could have made a movie out of this...Ashley Judd would have made a great Laura Bow.

Thank you so much for uploading this it sounds fantastic on the Roland! The Colonel's bequest is criminally underated as far as Sierra games goes, I never hear anyone talking about it or it's great sequel. I love the art style of this game more then any other Sierra Online game from that era

Colonel's Bequest recent went on sale via download at GOG.com, so I bought it. I only have Adlib sound, but after hearing this I've decided I'm not missing a great deal. I thought there were some good themes, especially the opening and the title screen. I think it's probably Roberta Williams' best game. I'm glad she decided to do something different from King's Quest. Something a bit more adult. And genuinely scary at times.

Hey Sven! Don't want to be a bother, but there's a small typo in the title. Forgot the "d" in soundtrack. Loved the let's play by the way! Loved every minute of it. I'll look forward to whatever you do next!

I was wondering: is Mighty Fine Shootin' For a Gal (39:02) based on any existing song? It sounds awfully familiar, although that might just be me remembering it from the game.

Fifi's Victrola Theme #1 sounds like a classical music piece. Does anyone know the name of it?
@DurinMephit4 жыл бұрын
I asked this on the MIDI Music Adventures board and was told "Gymnopédie No.1, by Erik Satie, 1888". Trying to identify all the others, too.
